Our Place

KLBCC has been located at the Bay Road complex in Kilbirnie since 1992. The building is owned and managed by Wellington City Council and was opened by Councillor Ruth Gotlieb on 21st of November 1992.

With renovations and installation of additional facilities over the years, KLBCC are proud to call the centre our home.

Our Management Committee

A volunteer Management Committee provides management and governance for the centre. Positions on the Management Committee are:

Public transport
Kilbirnie is the “hub” of the public bus system in Wellington, so the bus service is excellent.

Accessibility
We have a wheelchair ramp and parking located at the rear of the building.

Parking
The Centre has its own car parking area at the rear. There is also an NZ Post public car park adjacent to the Community Centre car park.
